The beach

I miss the beach... Today a friend of mine back in Maine went to the beach and it made me think of it. I use to spend hours at the beach before we moved, now the closest beach is 6 hours away in L.A. I miss the sounds and smell of it, it was so relaxing. I use to go down to a beach that was secluded and not too many people knew about it and I would walk forever or just sit there and watch the waves crash.

I remember one time I was there by myself it was early in the morning and I was sitting there just staring off into the distance thinking about life. Then all of a sudden I seen two little black blobs in the distance poking up threw the darkness. So I focused on the blobs and watched as they disappeared and then reappeared a few feet away. All of a sudden they started jumping at each other and then diving under the sea and popping up. I watched as the two little blobs who were two playful seals played for a hour or so then they lost interest and disappeared into the distance. It was one of the most peaceful moments of my life.

I've had a lot of fun on the beach from helping my son build his first sand castle to flying a kite with my husband. In my early years I would go to the beach with my girlfriends and have a blast sun tanning joking and relaxing with your friends. I've used the beach as a thinking tool the sounds of the ocean just seems to bring things into perspective. I have used the beach for exercise, I lost tons of weight by jogging on the beach a few times a week. And I have used the beach as a place to gather with my loved ones and spend quality time. If you have never had the opportunity to visit a beach GO, it is the best place in the world and it doesn't matter which one you go to or even which ocean it connects too it's always that same smell and breeze and sound that will take your breath away. I personally prefer secluded beaches that not too many people go to, but you may like the more populated ones I recommend you go to one or heck two or three if you can.
