So Lex, Brian and Hadley left for New York last night. The flight was rough to say the least. First they get on the plane and they are delayed saying they don't have enough fuel to get to dallas because of the storm there, well they finally leave. Well then they get to Dallas 10 minutes before the next flight leaves so they have to run like crazy to get there. When they finally touch down in New York the whole plane is pissy and start shoving my 7 year old, some people have no morals!
They get to the hotel at 10:30am and the hotel was nothing like it was portrayed online. It was in the hood in little Iraq, no one spoke English and then they wouldn't even let them check in til 2pm that is 3 and a half hours of sitting in a lobby in the hood. The lobby was nasty, bullet holes, hookers on the corner, and they have to sit on a nasty sticky couch.
Finally they get into a room and by then they are exhausted, feel nasty, and grumpy. So Lex is a bit pissy and threw a hissy fit. They decided that they were going to take today and just relax in the room then go do stuff tomorrow.
I was nervous as all hell last night with the plane and then this morning with the hotel I didn't get barely any sleep. I tracked the flight just about the whole way to make sure they were okay. I finally fell asleep at about 4:30am then woke up at 8:30am to make sure they were there and fine. Then fell asleep til 10am and got up to face my day.
Today was very different. it was quite and slow paced and more relaxed even going to work and doing normal errands was slow and different. It was nice, but in the same sentence I did miss them a lot though. Well it's 11:39pm and I haven't had dinner so I am off to eat something.
